These are real projects with real users. Each one links to a write-up of what the problem actually was and what I did about it. I’ve left in the parts that didn’t go well.
On the Roadside
An AI-generated web prototype for finding farm stands and food trucks on Vancouver Island. I took it over as its only engineer, made it a native iOS app, and built its production landing page.
Tideline
The monitoring service behind every website OBdesign runs. Twice a month it checks each client site for the slow failures nobody notices, tells me only when something changed, and writes each client a plain-English report.

A shared film camera for iOS. Friends join a roll, shoot blind, and nobody sees a photo until the roll gets developed.
Whispr
A dictation app for macOS that runs entirely on your own machine. Hold a hotkey, talk, let go, and the text lands at your cursor. No audio ever leaves the laptop.
Lead generation pipeline
The ~3,900-line Python system that finds OBdesign's clients, plus the dashboard I run the whole operation from: scoring, issue detection, outreach, and outcomes tracked to revenue.

About me.
I grew up on Salt Spring Island and I’m in my fourth year of software engineering at UVic. At nineteen I ran a painting business and did $80,000 in revenue. Now OBdesign pays for my degree, and the projects are where I actually learn the engineering.
